When compiling the list, Washington Monthly editors used three criteria: social mobility, or how committed the college is to enrolling low-income students and helping them earn degrees; research production and success at sending undergraduates on to doctoral programs; and service.
This recognition follows five years of ϲ's selection for the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll for exemplary service efforts to America's communities.
ϲ also recently celebrated its 14th consecutive year of inclusion in the Princeton Review's Best Colleges guidebook.
